By Dan Hall
In the beginning all was good
In harmony with God it stood
Fashioned by his sure hand
And God made man in his image
Walked with him and gave great priv’lege
All put to man’s command
Now his first breath was life for all
Likewise his faith failure our fall
For we were all in him
Rebellion’s curse only worsens
As our sin adds it’s own burdens
So our outlook is grim
Broken people split by factions
Selfish pride prompts noxious actions
All miss God’s perfection
Pay back will come to everyone
Pain and distress for evil done
God makes no exception
He shows no partiality
For culture or ethnicity
He sees into your heart
Financial means and your gender
And social class will not render
Favor when judgement starts
For fallen man all this we see
But look, one man’s faith victory
He fully heeds God’s call
Now he takes on our weight of sin
A people for himself to win
Christ is all and in all
For Christ’s death sake God will delight
In those who fear and do what’s right
They won’t be put to shame
With no distinction in his eyes
One Lord of all richly supplies
For all who call his name
What’s left of all our diff’rences
We’re more alike because we’re his
Don’t build what he destroyed
Turn from wrongs done to your brothers
Like Christ, forgive sins of others
No haughty airs employed
One day our Savior will return
Gath’ring for God all he did earn
His blood ransomed people
From ev’ry tribe, language, nation
His kingdom’s drawn in salvation
His priests made to prevail
