As Christians, we worship a God of Words.  God clearly wants to make Himself known.  He has done this not only by what we see outside in nature, but especially in a living book.   This book, called the Bible or Scriptures, prompted Jesus to say to the people of His day, “You search the Scripture because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me” (John 5:39)

Thus, each message that we teach is not only from the Scriptures, but point to the ONE of whom they testify.  Eternal life is found in the person of Jesus, not the book itself. Our method of teaching is called “expositional” which means the points of the sermon are based upon the text of Scripture itself.  We take the timeless truths contained in the Scriptures and clearly, practically apply them to our lives today.

When Yielding is the Only Choice (Exodus 9:13-10:28)

Scripture Passage: Exodus 9:13 - 10:28

The growing conflict between God and Pharaoh as God sends increasingly devastating plagues on Egypt shows much about how the sinful heart works. Even in the face of his own destruction, the Pharaoh fights against God and refuses to yield to His will...something we as Christians do when we rebel against God and walk in our sinful flesh. This sermon is a reminder to all who follow Jesus that the same poison that was in Pharaoh still plays out in our lives today and is battled by yielding to God's will by His power at work in the lives of His children.
